Cailin Florence.

Florence used to live in Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Well, a small roadside town 50 odd miles from it. It wasn't the nicest town, known for gang crime and the occasional murder, there wasn't even that much there. The town consisted of a diner, a cinema, a record shop, an antique shop, a Sheriff's department, a motel, a bar, a gas station, two blocks of apartments, a hospital and a couple of food and takeout shops. The rent was relatively cheap, and that's how she ended up there after graduating from med school. She managed to snag a job in the hospital as a nurse, the pay wasn't massive but it payed her rent and put food on the table. A few years after working there a coworker she has grown close to received a work opportunity in England. He had accepted and offered Florence the chance to go with him, she also accepted. It got her out of that cramped town, at least. For a couple months she jumped from job to job while sharing an apartment with her friend. One morning he had to call in sick and upon realising he had paperwork that needed to be in the office by a certain time that day he asked Florence to drive down and hand it in, which she did. When she had walked in she realised that this was no office, or even a hospital, it was more like a science lab. Like the type you see in high schools, beakers sitting randomly on tables, people in lab coats strolling around. Just with much more advanced equipment. When she had arrived back at their apartment many questions were asked about her friend's employment, it had intrigued her. Once her friend had gotten over his illness Florence started following him to work, not without him knowing obviously, he offered to take her. After a few trips there the supervisor had taken notice that she was there, and she was offered an interview. She accepted, attended and got the job. She was transferred to another lab a couple miles away, after a few months of working there. Of course this disheartened her, she had to leave her friend that had done so much for her: helped her out, helped her get this job and he even brought her to this country. She eventually got over it, if she was going to advance in her career she needed to take every opportunity that was offered to her, and now we're here. She has been working at this new lab for two years, earned a grey uniform and even started experiments of her own. The lab she works in had slowly detached from the rest of the company, the people working on it doing things for themselves rather than the main company. Florence didn't take notice though, they were nice people. And seeing a shark on legs running around and getting payed to babysit, essentially, wasn't too bad.
